US export sales and shipments
In the week ended August 13, the net upland export sales commitment rose by 209,400 bales. Increases for Vietnam (55,400 bales), Pakistan (51,900), El Salvador (40,100), Honduras (27,600), and India (16,500), were partially offset by reductions for China (4,800), Mexico (4,000), Turkey (1,200), and Hong Kong (600).
Exports of 222,000 bales were primarily for Vietnam (66,800 bales), Pakistan (30,200), India (28,200), Bangladesh (22,400), and Turkey (21,500).
Pima sales were 5,900 bales, while shipments were 6,900 bales.
For the 2027/2028 marketing year, 64,900 bales of upland were added, for El Salvador (35,100), Guatemala (15,400), and Honduras (14,300).
