China: ZCE continues to fall

Zhengzhou cotton futures closed with modest losses across the board. September’s premium over May widened to 150 yuan.

Turnover dropped by 726,889 to 502,522 contracts. Open interest decreased by 17,346, to 1,142,584 contracts.

At the close of business, the top 20 brokers were holding 712,669 long positions (-7,970) and 909,735 short positions (-9,110).

The certified stock advanced by 32, to 12,449 lots (of 40 tonnes).
