Vietnam: IIP increases marginally in July

According to the National Statistics Office, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP, a relative value determined with reference to the 2015 calendar year) increased by just one point in July, to 187.8.

The index for the preparation and spinning of textiles fibres rose by five points on a monthly basis, to 211.1. For textiles manufacturing, the figure was 167.1 in July, versus 162.3 in June. The index for the manufacture of wearing apparel also increased, from 167.2 to 173.9, a rise of 6.7 points.
