Egypt: export registrations
New export registrations during the week ended August 12 amounted to 212 tonnes, according to Alcotexa (the exporters’ association). The figure comprised 176 tonnes of Giza 94 (156 tonnes at 150.00 US cents per lb FOB and 20 tonnes at 160.00 cents), 25 tonnes of Giza 90 at 115.00 cents and 5.5 tonnes each, to the same buyer, of Giza 86 at 160.00 cents and Giza 87 at 223.00 cents.
Cumulative registrations for shipment during the current season (by August 31) now amount to 38,077.28 tonnes, of which 31,393.38 have actually been shipped. The largest amounts outstanding are for India and Egypt’s Free Zone area.
