China: Zhengzhou cotton futures settled mixed

Cotton futures on the Zhengzhou cotton futures settled mixed, May, July and November increased, January and September declined and March unchanged, the discount from May on January narrowed by 75 yuan to 560 yuan per tonne.

Today’s turnover was 212,284 contracts, 29,906 more than yesterday. Open interest rose by 4,288, to 615,276. At the close of business, the top 20 brokers were holding 213,241 long positions (3,687) and 217,035 short positions (8,036).

The certified stock was unchanged at 363 lots.
