ZCE prices show minor changes
Except for the November contract, No. 1 cotton futures on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE) settled unchanged to slightly higher. The most active January contract was steady at 19,865 yuan per tonne, whilst the May contract was up by 10 yuan to 18,615.
Total volume was very modest at 12,994, contracts (of 5 tonnes each), and open interest was decreased by 1,492 contracts to 101,630.
At the close of business, the top 20 brokers were holding 35,480 long positions (-283) and 38,665 short positions (-899).
The certified stock was increased by 23 lots to 265 (1 lot is equal to 185 ±5 bales).
