Domestic mill buying prior to the Eid holidays and the weaker rupee have been the two main factors supporting prices. Business in Sindh new crop cotton has been reported at between Rs. 6,500 and Rs. 6,600 per maund (roughly 77.75/78.95 US cents per lb), ex-gin, and around Rs. 6,550 to Rs. 6,600 in Punjab.
