The China Cotton Index (basis Type 3128B) rose by 55 yuan to 22,941 yuan per tonne, equivalent to 163.55 US cents per lb. Type 2227B advanced by 46 yuan to 21,135 yuan per tonne (150.68 cents), and Type 2129B increased by 56 yuan to 23,391 yuan per tonne (166.76 cents).
