India: textiles exports in January
The value of textiles exports (woven and knitted garments and home textiles, all fibres – HS codes 61/62/63) was US$2.04 billion in January, up five percent on the month but lower by the same margin than the corresponding timeframe a year earlier.
The total since April (representing the first ten months of the Indian financial year) was $18.11 billion, a slight increase on the same moment in 2024/25. The United States accounted for 35 percent of the tally, while the share of exports to the EU+UK was 34 percent, and eight percent was for the UAE.
