The China Cotton Index (basis Type 3128B) rose by 68 yuan to 15,406 yuan per tonne, equivalent to 98.16 US cents per lb. Type 2227B increased by 55 yuan to 13,655 yuan per tonne (87 cents), and Type 2129B advanced by 59 yuan to 15,707 yuan per tonne (100.08 cents).
