Brazil: July exports

Raw cotton exports in July totalled 167,213 tonnes, versus just over 160,411 the previous month and 72,624 a year earlier. The total is in fact the highest in recent history for the month of July. That is a reflection of the ‘year-round’ nature of export activity and the absence of any significant pause between the movement of one crop and the next – the consequence of the strong growth of production in recent seasons.
