According to data from Alcotexa, 480 tonnes of Egyptian cotton from 2022/23 and 250 tonnes from the current crop were registered for export in the week to December 9, bringing the total so far to 18,445 tonnes: 9,212 from 2022/23 and 9,233 from 2023/24. The average prices recorded for Giza 94 were 161 and 195 cents per lb (old/new crop), FOB.
